MARVEL'S CIVIL WAR

"Whose side are you on?" was the catch cry for this mega Marvel crossover event of 2006. Building upon the recent Avengers Disassembled, House of M, Illuminati and Secret Wars storylines, the Civil War epic is featured in nearly every single Marvel comic published in 2006 and throughout 2007.

The war begins when the Superhuman Registration Act is passed, forcing heroes and villains to either register or risk being sent to the negative zone. Heroes are forced to take sides, with the pro-registration camp led by Iron Man and the anti-registration side led by Captain America.

Casualties are high on both sides and loyalties are tested. When the war is over, a major character lies dead with repercussions on the Marvel Universe still ongoing today.

Civil War begins with The Road to Civil War, and continues with the 7 issue Civil War limited series, Casualties of War, Civil War Epilogue, and the Civil War: the Initiative.

The series was later collected in a 12 part comic release called Civil War Chronicles. This series presented the civil war crossover in chronological order, allowing you to read the series in the sequence
of events as it was intended.
