Frank Brunner is universally recognized as one of the modern masters of Comic and Fantasy Art. His work spans many genres and always explodes with sensuous realism and dynamic passion.

Frank Brunner broke into comics as a horror writer/artist for black-and-white Warren Magazines such as Creepy, Eerie and Vampirella. His best-known colour comic book work is his Marvel Comics collaboration with writer Steve Englehart on Dr Strange from 1972 to 1974. Brunner then went on to become the premiere artist on Howard the Duck. Also at Marvel Brunner adapted Conan the Barbarian, drew covers for Red Sonja and was featured in many anthologies of Horror, Science Fiction and Fantasy.

Toward the late 1970s Brunner was publishing fine art portfolios, dazzling the public with his Wizards, Dragons, Faeries and his lushly erotic and whimsical Alice In Wonderland series.

Later, Brunner and novelist Michael Moorcock collaborated on a comic adaptation of Elric for Heavy Metal magazine. Frank briefly returned to comics in the mid-1980s as artist on the First Comics title Warp! He also wrote and drew a graphic novel The Seven Samuroid, a science-fiction take-off of the movie classic The Seven Samurai. Brunner then moved to Hollywood and began a career in movie and television animation, working on projects for Hanna-Barbara, Disney Imagineering, Warner Brothers and DreamWorks .He was the head of character design for the Fox animated series X-Men. In recent years he has devoted his time to privately commissioned works, fine art painting and occasional special projects for publication.
